Description
This 1 Baht coin commemorates the 5th Asian Games held in Bangkok in 1966. The obverse features conjoined busts of Rama IX and Queen Sirikit, both facing right, with the Thai inscription translating to "Government of Thailand B.E.2509 1 Baht". The reverse is adorned with the official symbol of the Asian Games: a radiant sun with 16 rays, surrounded by the slogan "EVER ONWARD" and 20 conjoined circles below, representing the unity and ongoing spirit of the games.
