Description
1921 20 Mark notgeld from the State of Saxony (Sachsen). The obverse features a scalloped reeded rim with the state name SACHSEN above the denomination 20 M, flanked by decorative branches. The reverse shows a scalloped reeded rim with the date 1921 above the image of a woman breastfeeding a child, and the Meissen crossed swords mintmark at the bottom. The piece has a plain edge and gold-gilded edge/rim. A representative specimen of post–World War I German notgeld coinage. Mintage is 67000 pieces only. This piece is uncirculated.
