Description
Commemorative 1981 medal marking the 35th anniversary of the SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands). The obverse features a handshake before a flag with the legend: 35. JAHRESTAG DER GRÜNDUNG SED (“35th anniversary of the founding of the SED”). The reverse shows a raised fist with the inscription: * HAUS DER REVOLUTIONÄREN ZWICKAUER ARBEITERBEWEGUNG * ZWICKAU (“House of the Revolutionary Zwickau Workers’ Movement, Zwickau”). A preserved example of East German political memorabilia.
